Especially for Sierra, I bought a baby’s sandbox, perfect size and material should I decide to fill it up with water. I was taking a stroll around the Friday Market this morning and picked up a few treasures I found whilst enjoying the delightful weather with my mother… Today being the last day of my mini vacation away from college, I wanted to make the most of it…Įvery morning I normally put sierra out in a cardboard box on the balcony so she can enjoy the natural light in livable weather… today I got my hands on some closeout sale items at the friday market that made PERFECT balcony boxes for my turtles to chillax in during the daytime. 2 weeks?!?!?! Shes grown on me so i suppose thats the reasoning behind this feeling like its been alot longer… To those who want to see the first posts about Sierra, the links are here and here, respectively. It has been a week since her last update and 2 weeks since I first got her. Todays post will be about the rescue Caspian pond turtle, “Sierra”. I usually set my alarm to wake up and take her out, but one too many “snooze” nights have been cropping up…Īnd that’s it for today!!! I sincerely apologise for the short post… I plan to go get more supplies this weekend so I can finish Crawlie’s window box and I’m very excited about the big reveal!!! I have to tear my arms away from my laptop because I have an exam in exactly 10 hours time… and I’ve done NOWHERE near enough work to pass! There was no particular reason why I decided to do this, it was just more convenient for me since I’ve been coming home at 10pm almost every night this week and have to keep her swimming for at least 2 hours…. I have, however, slightly altered her therapy, whereby I let her swim around and eat twice a day instead of once. Note how the hard black growths (which I’m still unsure what they are) that were there on day 1 are almost completely gone!!! I mean they fell off in large toenail sized chunks! I am very pleased with her recovery progress and hopefully in a few short weeks she can be moved into ther new permanent enclosure.įor those of you unaware of the state her shell was in the first day I got her, click here.
